Conestogas Restaurant - Tiny Rick

This is my favorite commercial that I’ve ever produced. It’s pretty silly.

I came up with the concept and realized that even though the concept was silly it would take a decent amount of planning and time to execute. I first filmed Rick, the owner/actor on location at the restaurant along with all the food shots. I then put together a rough spot and made the food background plates. Next was filming Rick on a green screen using a Tricaster to get live background replacement, enabling me to make sure he was lined up properly with the food close ups. And finally I composited everything together, making sure to add few extra comical touches like his glowing shoes during the grill shot.
